Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Active – team as a Garment Technologist! This role would enable you to delivery first time right pattern making, pattern grading, Mini marker Validation, sample and work collaboratively with Support teams to create a bulk feasible product

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Customer and Merchandiser in the event measurement adjustments and feasibility of the sample construction is required and prepare base patterns for the designated category, whilst coordinating with CAD and CAM to obtain relevant markers whilst forwarding the main material and trim consumption to the merchandising team for customer approval, in order to order fabric in a timely manner.
  • Prepare patterns and markers for R&D (Research & Development) samples and evaluate same together with the team leader in order to ensure that the proto sample is accurate prior to the Customer sample.
  • Develop patterns and markers for proto samples by obtaining required fabric and accessories in consultation with the merchandising department, make required adjustments to patterns based (All proto stages) on customer comments and prepare new samples incorporating the adjustments accordingly (Size-Set, Merchandising Samples, Pre-Production) whilst sending same to the Merchandiser and approval along with the proto and review sheet.
  • Prepare Virtual Samples depending on customer requirements whilst analyzing the fit virtually (Spec changers, art work changers other editing) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Timely adherence to the process conducting Development Meeting, Cut Kit, hacking meeting, Style briefing, SS PP, SS post Review, Hacking Freezing, PP Meeting,
  • Finalize patterns for bulk production to support smooth manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with CAD to prepare YY requisition sheets and release accurate consumption for buying.
  • Ensure specifications and schematics are completed correctly prior to the buy.
  • Prepare technical packs and CTQs ahead of pre-production (PP) meetings to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct development meetings with the Technical Manager to decide on samples, trims, and construction details based on sketches.
  • Manage timely dispatch of placement boards to printers to support on-time SS and bulk production.
  • Lead pre-production meetings to accurately transfer technical details of new styles to production teams.
  • Address and resolve technical issues arising during bulk and SS production.
  • Ensure all technical information is properly handed over to plant technical representatives to enable effective PP meetings at the plant level.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Textile Engineering or NDT from a relevant institute.
  • 3 -4 Year Experience in manufacturing in pattern making.
  • Good decision making & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
